Office Hours are 7AM - 4PM During Bridge Closure

The City of Glenwood Springs has requested all trash companies complete their services inside the City of Glenwood Springs as early as possible to help mitigate the impact of services upon the flow of traffic during the bridge closure. By allowing trash haulers to get started earlier the city is hoping to reduce the number of vehicle trips made by companies like ours during the busy points of the day.

From Aug 14 until the end of the Grand Avenue Bridge detour, residential trash pick-up times will begin at 5:00am. In effort to comply with this request from the City Mountain Waste & Recycling will start commercial services at 3:00 AM, residential service at 5:00AM inside the areas affected by the bridge closure. We ask all residential customers to have their carts out curbside by 4:30AM. Be advised-If your trash is not out by 5:00am on your designated service day, no trash service can be provided until the following week.

Residents must put the trash out in the early morning to avoid bear incidents unless residents have a bear-resistant container. The Bear ordinance covering the City of Glenwood Springs is still in effect.
Mountain waste and recycling is complying with this request from the City of Glenwood Springs, and we thank you for your understanding and know our normal hours of operation will return upon the reopening of the bridge.

Thank you
Mike Hinkley
District Manager
